Another great month with lots of buzz and stuff to do!

Co-designed the new site for www.all80s.ie and am helping with the authoring behind it. Also working on putting content together for the station. Real push forward with the digital stations including Mocha and Raidio x.

Engineered another 2 episodes of the craic and some entertainment features for Raidio X.

Recieved brief from INTRA for the final assignment for after the placement so thought I'd use this blog to chart my experiences and tasks. Making the final essay a little easier!

Lego 'Let Go'

Next up is a campaign we devised to tackle rascism for early years in primary schools. We manipulated the familiar visual brand of Lego to get our message across. The campaign was the work of myself and 3 other students. It went on to be nominated award in the MAMA Diversity Awards run by Metro Eireann. It also earned us a first.

Cen-tours Site

Web design project given to us in MMA2 as part of our Authoring 1 module.
I worked with a fellow classmate to design and construct this Travel Company Website for invented Italian company Cen-tours.

All photos and all content was produced originally for the site.

Site was designed using Dreamweaver MX.

Cosmetic Ad Campaign

An assignment given to the Multimedia class in first year by Digital Imaging lecturer Jim Armstrong. The aim was to create a series of adverts to form an ad campaign built on a visual brand that we create by ourselves.

My idea was to promote cosmetic surgery 'Advanced Cosmetic Surgery' (which actually turned out to already be a cosmetic surgery company?) The ads are based around the term 'Plastic' Surgery which I linked in with other plastic people, namely: Lego men!-

Stigmata

We recieved this project in 2007 from Dr.Tom Lawrence in our Audio 3 class- it was the first part of a 4-piece portfolio we had to hand up at the end of the year for our final grade. As such I dont have an individual grade for it but it helped me get a 68 (2.1 grade) for the module-

We each recieved a promotional trailer clip for the 1999 film 'Stigmata' with no sound files. We had to use ProTools LE and or Plug-ins/SFX to create a believeable soundtrack to the clip. My approach was to record some foley using a bell and mix it in with some string synth taken from the Reason plug-in. I also used some SFX for a heartbeat and a gasping noise.

Bits and bobs

Over the next few days I'll be uploading bits and pieces of my work from first and second year multimedia as a sort of portfolio for my INTRA placement in 2008.
